CASIE FAQs How can I help CASIE? How do I use the online registration system? |
AFFILIATIONS International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) CASIE works with the IBO to offer teacher training workshops in all subject areas and to promote the goals of the IBO. The IBO strives to create a better world through intercultural understanding and respect, and to challenge students through rigorous evaluation. In the United States, there are currently no agreed-upon national standards for primary or secondary education. Backed by the curriculum and objectives of the internationally recognized IBO, educators can furnish world-class opportunities for their students to achieve a very high level of accomplishment. Atlanta International School (AIS) CASIE serves as a research and development center for AIS -- its doorway to the Atlanta and international communities. Through CASIE's relationships with institutions of higher learning, AIS teachers and administrators benefit from on-site professional development. CASIE is a place to study best practices and a laboratory for new programs. AIS provides CASIE case studies of successful practice, and access to a faculty representing over 30 nationalities and a student population from over 50 countries. Georgia Department of Education (GADOE) CASIE works in partnership with the GADOE to promote the teaching of foreign languages in the State. CASIE offers language courses for public and private school teachers during the summer months. These professional development activities are sponsored by the GADOE, some in cooperation with the French Consulate-General and the Goethe-Institut in Atlanta and the Embassy of Spain in Washington, D.C.
