Alex Horsley, Executive Director • Alex Horsley, with advanced degrees in Education (London and Hull Universities) and Languages (Oxford University), has served as a teacher in New Zealand, India, England and the USA. He was the founding headmaster of Atlanta International School, with subsequent terms as headmaster of international schools in Beijing and Hong Kong. He has wide experience in the field of international school accreditation, having served as Chair of the Accrediting Team to schools in Australia, Indonesia, France, Belgium, Portugal and Venezuela. He currently serves on the Accreditation Advisory Committee of the Council of International Schools. Alex is fluent in English, French and German, semi-fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Chinese, Italian, Dutch and Russian. Click here for more.

Bobbi Kay, Assistant Executive Director • Bobbi Kay received her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and later obtained a Masters in Communication Management from the University of Southern California. She has worked with CASIE since its founding when she worked at Atlanta International School. Bobbi joined the organization full-time after working for five years at Showtime Networks in sales and marketing. She worked as CASIE Director of Communications and Marketing before moving into her current role.

Lynne McClendon, CrossWorlds Director • Lynne McClendon currently serves as the Executive Director for the Southern Conference on Language Teaching as well as an In-Tech teacher. She has traveled extensively in Italy, Great Britain, North Africa, with excursions into Spain and Portugal. She has also studied at the American School in Athens, Greece. From 1987 to 1997 she served as the Foreign Language and ESOL coordinator for the Fulton County, Georgia, school system. She has previously served as the chairperson for the Georgia Junior Classical League and as President of the Foreign Language Association of Georgia.

RasamySharon

Rasamy Yin Vanijcharoenkarn, Business Office Manager • Rasamy Yin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University. She worked many years as a system engineer in research and development and has experience with immigration for international students. She is fluent in Chinese and English and has a good understanding of Thai and Lao. Her two children have gone through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Ayesha Siraj, Program Coordinator & Registrar • Ayesha Siraj has a Master's in Clinical Pyschology from India. She is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu and two other regional languages from India. Her upbringing in the Indian Armed Forces has contributed to her having a diverse and a global outlook. Her daughter is enrolled in the International Baccalaureate - PYP.

Meredith Woolard , Events & Marketing Coordinator • Meredith is an Atlanta native who received her IB diploma from Marietta High School and then received her undergraduate degree from Florida State University. While at Florida State, she studied abroad in London. Meredith brings event experence from her time at the Alliance Theatre.

Nancy Tuomi, IB Consultant • Nancy Tuomi has worked with IB programs for 15 years, most recently as coordinator of all IB Programmes for DeKalb County, Georgia. She is certified by IBNA as a Consultant and Team School Site Visitor. She is President of IB Coordinators of Georgia and has represented the region at numerous IBNA and IB gatherings. In addition to her work in IB Programmes in the USA, she worked for two years in England as a Teacher on Special Assignment to set up teacher exchange programs.

Sharon Belton, Program Coordinator • Sharon Belton is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, with three children having graduated with International Baccalaureate Diplomas. She assists a kindergarten class at AIS in the mornings and works for CASIE in the afternoons. She has lived in Nevada and eastern Japan and traveled some in Canada, Australia, Brussels, France and Ecuador, giving her a few chances to use a little Japanese and French.

Tahirih Varner , Assistant to the Registrar • Tahirih Varner is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She also lived in Canada for seven years, with two of those years spent volunteering in elementary schools on First Nations reservations. Tahirih has traveled, studied and volunteered with various community development service projects in Mexico, England, Zimbabwe, Lesotho and South Africa. She holds B.A.s in Spanish and Rhetoric and has
started work on a M.S. in Conflict Management and a Higher Learning Certificate of Non-Profit Management. Thanks to six years at Atlanta International School, Tahirih is fluent in Spanish, and also has a working knowledge of French from her time in Canada. Tahirih is now a parent at AIS with a son in the IB PYP.
