2024 Online IB Workshop Registration   $950 USD

CASIE’s February 2-4, June 4-6, and October 25-27 IB workshops in 2024 will be presented online.

In 2024, you have 5 separate chances to enhance your staff’s IB professional development with CASIE — three times in the Summer (June and July) and twice when school is in session (February and October).

We deliver best-in-class, IB-accredited online workshops. Our online IB workshops are structured to maximize opportunities to collaborate in real-time with your workshop leader and fellow participants while allowing you to complete your training in only three half-days, from the comfort of your home.

Facilitated by expert workshop leaders in 4.5-hour sessions over three consecutive days, our highly-interactive online workshops take place over Zoom and feature an additional three hours of asynchronous work in Canvas required to earn a completion certificate.

The synchronous portions of our online workshops take place in varied 4.5-hour slots between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm US Daylight Savings Time (UTC/GMT -4).

2024 In-Person IB Workshop Registration $1,295 USD

CASIE’s June 11-13 and July 9-11 IB workshops in 2024 will be presented in-person in Atlanta, GA, USA.

We are excited to return to in-person instruction this Summer! Join us in Atlanta, the birthplace of the US Civil Rights Movement, and spend 2.5 days thinking, learning, and collaborating with like-minded IB colleagues from around the world.

Our in-person workshops are led by highly-skilled, IB-trained practitioners.

We provide breakfast and snacks on all three days and lunch on the first and second days of the workshop.

Your registration fee also includes twice-daily courtesy shuttle service between our location and our recommended hotels (hotel information forthcoming).

Who and where do I mail payment?

Make checks payable to CASIE and mail to:

CASIE
2635 Century Parkway NE
Suite 125
Atlanta, GA 30345
United States of America

For these and similar payment-related questions, needs, and issues, please contact accounts.receivable@casieonline.org.

You can also call us with the card information, and we can enter it from our end – 404-848-9044, x4.

CASIE certainly accepts POs and considers them a confirmation of the registration and an indication that payment will be forthcoming, but we do require actual payment in hand – check, credit card, or wire transfer – prior to all of our events.

IB Travel Information

AIR TRAVEL
  • Your participation, all week, in every session is vital. Be advised that attendees must participate in all class sessions to receive their official IB certificate of attendance.

  • To ensure your full participation at the workshop from start to finish and ample travel time to and within Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, do not choose a flight departing Atlanta before 4:00 pm.

  • If you have not visited Atlanta before, our airport, Hartsfield-Jackson International, is the world’s busiest! There are multiple terminals connected by a very efficient train. The airport is very large and spread out so you must allow enough time, once you get there, to deal with your luggage, make your way through security screening, get to your terminal on the passenger train, and then still reach your gate at the terminal.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

  • Please be aware that Atlanta is largely not a pedestrian-friendly city. Our workshop venue is not easily accessible by public transportation or on foot. We strongly recommend renting a car for all your conference and leisure transportation needs during your visit.

  • If you have a car and plan to drive to our event site, North Atlanta High School (4111 Northside Pkwy NW, Atlanta, GA 30327), there is a multi-level parking structure with over 900 free spaces at your disposal.

  • CASIE has negotiated a discounted car rental rate with Enterprise Rent-A-Car/National Car Rental. To obtain this discount, click HERE and use group code XZ03314 when making your reservation.

  • Our public transportation system, MARTA, does not extend out to where our event and partner hotel is located and should not be counted on to provide your only means of transportation during your visit.

  • A courtesy shuttle will be available for participants to & from the conference site and ONLY our participating hotel partner (listed below) each day.

  • Taxis, Uber, and Lyft are plentiful and well-priced for travel all over Metro Atlanta.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

CASIE has high standards for how we want our guests to be treated while at our workshop! To this end, we work very closely with outstanding area hotels to secure great prices for our event attendees.

Our partner hotel, the Embassy Suites by Hilton, Atlanta Galleria, is SOLD OUT during the week of our event, July 10-14.

Fortunately, the Galleria area has a number of other great lodging accommodations that are a short drive from our event site, North Atlanta High School (4111 Northside Pkwy NW, Atlanta, GA 30327).

Many of these hotels have in-house courtesy shuttle service that will drive guests within a 3-6 mile radius. We recommend you ask your hotel if their shuttle would get you to and from North Atlanta High School.

The following hotel list is not exhaustive in any way, and we do not have any arrangements with these properties for the summer, but we have worked with them in the past and are familiar with their locations and amenities. Some places we would stay at that you might check into are:

Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Vinings/Galleria

Homewood Suites by Hilton

Atlanta – Galleria/Cumberland

Hotel Indigo Atlanta – Vinings

Hyatt House Atlanta/Cobb Galleria

Renaissance Atlanta Waverly

Hotel & Convention Center

Sheraton Suites Galleria-Atlanta

Registration Policy

Once the registration is complete, the registrant – as well as the listed IB Coordinator and billing contact – will receive a confirmation email. Until you are registered and confirmed in our system, we cannot guarantee a seat in your desired workshop.

If the workshop is full when you register, you can join a waitlist, linked at the top of the page. There is no guarantee that a seat will open up; but if it does, we will contact you and offer the option to accept the seat, at which point, payment would be due.

In general, registration will close one week before the event start date. For special consideration after that, please contact registration@casieonline.org.

If you cancel your registration two months or more prior to the event date, you will receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee. There are no refunds with less than two months’ cancellation notice.

Registrations may be transferred within an event to someone else from the school (and, sometimes, from the same district). Transfers across workshops within an event depend on the availability of seats in the desired workshop. For more information, please click here.

No-shows at an event will not be refunded for any reason. No exceptions.

Substitutions & Course Changes

To request a registration name transfer or a workshop substitution, please fill out this form.

Attendee substitutions may be requested through the above form up to one week before the workshop start date. Attendee substitutions will not be finalized until you receive written confirmation from CASIE.

Workshop substitutions are subject to the availability of seats in the desired workshop. Workshop substitutions will not be finalized until you receive written confirmation from CASIE.

In instances where CASIE offers both virtual and face-to-face workshops in the same year, registration transfers will not be possible between these types of events. Registration transfers are only possible between the same type of events within a calendar year. Registration transfers across calendar years are also not possible.

Attendance & Certificate Policy

Full attendance is required to receive a certificate of completion.

If you miss any instructional time, for any reason, you will still leave our workshops with a great deal of valuable knowledge; but you will not receive a certificate of attendance. Due to strict IB policies, CASIE cannot issue certificates for partial workshop completion.

CASIE will email a certificate of attendance to each participant who completes our workshops, generally within two weeks of the end of the workshop. If two weeks have elapsed from event and you have not received your certificate via email, please contact us at registration@casieonline.org.

If you need to substitute your current educator, please click here.

I’m registered and paid; how do I log in?

The IB and CASIE assume that all registered participants, as adult learners participating in professional development workshops, attend all 3 days of training to meet the IB requirement of 15 hours of instructional contact time.

  • The official IB course certificate of attendance participants receive certifies that the bearer has met the IB-required 15 hours of instructional contact time.

  • We do not adjust certificates to reflect actual hours of attendance should you fail to meet the IB minimum requirements.
