CASIE is excited to welcome back internationally recognized inquiry expert, Trevor MacKenzie, for another engaging two-day CASIE Presents workshop. Known for his ability to bring inquiry theory to life with practical strategies, Trevor combines his experience as a high school teacher in Victoria, Canada, with insights from schools he supports worldwide. His heartfelt storytelling and contextual examples make his workshops highly relevant and impactful.
During the workshop, Trevor will introduce concepts from his publication, Inquiry Mindset Questions Edition, focusing on creating curiosity-driven classrooms. He will showcase ten high-impact Question Routines designed to enhance students’ ability to ask meaningful questions. Teachers will learn how to co-design lessons with student-generated questions, fostering a deeper connection to the curriculum.
Trevor will also explore assessment strategies, emphasizing student understanding of their learning progress. He will provide powerful feedback structures, formative assessment routines, and self- and peer-assessment techniques to support purposeful and student-centered learning.
