IB Travel Information

LOCATION

  • We are thrilled to present our June 10-12, 2025 in-person workshop the beautiful North Atlanta High School (4111 Northside Parkway NW, Atlanta, GA 30327).
  • North Atlanta High School is a public institution, part of Atlanta Public Schools. NAHS was created in 1991 after the merger of North Fulton High School and Northside High School.
  • In 2013, North Atlanta High School relocated to the former IBM Southeast headquarters in North Buckhead. The beautiful wooded campus includes an 11-story concrete-framed office tower that was purpose-renovated for educational use. The building spans over a scenic lake and is flanked by an assembly building with performing and gym spaces. The campus features an unobtrusive 942-car parking deck. To maintain the site’s dramatic wooded terrain, existing on-grade parking lots were converted into athletic venues for baseball, softball, football, tennis, and track.

AIR TRAVEL

  • Your participation, all week, in every session is vital. Be advised that attendees must participate in all class sessions to receive their official IB certificate of attendance.
  • To ensure your full participation at the workshop from start to finish and ample travel time to and within Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, do not choose a flight departing Atlanta before 4:00 pm.
  • If you have not visited Atlanta before, our airport, Hartsfield-Jackson International, is the world’s busiest! There are multiple terminals connected by a very efficient train. The airport is very large and spread out so you must allow enough time, once you get there, to deal with your luggage, make your way through security screening, get to your terminal on the passenger train, and then still reach your gate at the terminal.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

  • Participants are responsible for all transportation, including getting to and from the airport.
  • CASIE is providing courtesy shuttles for participants to & from the conference site and ONLY our participating hotel partners (listed below under Accommodations) each day.
  • Please be aware that Atlanta is not a pedestrian-friendly city. Our workshop venue is not easily accessible by public transportation or on foot. We strongly recommend renting a car during your stay for all your conference and leisure transportation needs.
  • Our public transportation system, MARTA, has limited reach in the Atlanta Metro area and should not be counted on to provide your only means of transportation while here.

LODGING RECOMMENDATIONS

As a courtesy to our participants, we have secured a special rate with the Embassy Suites Atlanta Galleria Hotel. Please see below for a booking link to receive the CASIE conference rate. Only participants staying at this Embassy Suites will be provided with a courtesy shuttle to and from the conference venue.

This hotel includes the following amenities: free made-to-order breakfast; complimentary evening reception; free WiFi; on-site restaurant; indoor pool; fitness center; pet-friendly rooms; and a business center.

If you choose not to stay at the Embassy Suites Atlanta Galleria, we strongly recommend you choose hotels in either the Galleria area or downtown Vinings. Due to rush hour traffic patterns, we recommend you avoid hotels in Buckhead or the area around The Battery.

Registration

All of CASIE’s IB workshop registrations are made through our online registration system, linked from this website. See the bottom of this page to find out what you will need to know/have on hand to register. Once the registration is complete, the registrant – as well as the listed IB Coordinator and billing contact – will receive a confirmation email. Until you are registered and confirmed in our system, we cannot guarantee a seat in your desired workshop.

If the workshop is full when you register, you can join a waitlist, linked at the top of the page. There is no guarantee that a seat will open up; but if it does, we will contact you and offer the option to accept the seat, at which point, payment would be due.

In general, registration will close one week before the event start date. For special consideration after that, please contact registration@casieonline.org.

FAQ's

I’m sure I completed the registration, but I haven’t received the confirmation email . . .

You may have inadvertently entered a typo in your email address. Check with us at registration@casieonline.org.

Contact accounts.receivable@casieonline.org to get a quote but remember that until you are fully registered in our system, your seat is not guaranteed.

This is handled on a case-by-case basis. Check with registration@casieonline.org.

Cancellation & Refunds

By completing this registration, you are committing to paying the registration fee.

If you cancel your registration two months or more prior to the event date, you will receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee. There are no refunds with less than two months’ cancellation notice.

Registrations may be transferred within an event to someone else from the school (and, sometimes, from the same district). Transfers across workshops within an event depend on the availability of seats in the desired workshop. Please see below section for more details.

No-shows at an event will not be refunded for any reason. No exceptions.

Substitutions & Course Changes

To request a registration name transfer or a workshop substitution please fill out this form.

Attendee substitutions may be requested through the above form up to one week before the workshop start date. Attendee substitutions will not be finalized until you receive written confirmation from CASIE.

Workshop substitutions are subject to availability of seats in the desired workshop. Workshop substitutions will not be finalized until you receive written confirmation from CASIE.

In instances where CASIE offers both virtual and face-to-face workshops in the same year, registration transfers will not be possible between these types of events. Registration transfers are only possible between the same type of events within a calendar year. Registration transfers across calendar years are also not possible.

Attendance

Full attendance is required to receive a certificate of completion.

If you miss any instructional time, for any reason, you will still leave our workshops with a great deal of valuable knowledge; but you will not receive a certificate of attendance. Due to strict IB policies, CASIE cannot issue certificates for partial workshop completion.

CASIE will email a certificate of attendance to each participant who completes our workshops, generally within two weeks of the end of the workshop. If two weeks have elapsed from event and you have not received your certificate via email, please contact us at registration@casieonline.org.
