MYP Category 3 – Creating Authentic Units

Experienced MYP educators in mixed-subject group cohorts will engage in collaborative inquiries that emphasize relevance, student agency, and interdisciplinary connections supported with pedagogical strategies.

Participants will explore:

• the interconnected, ongoing cycle of unit planning across IB programmes, with a focus on designing units that reflect authentic, real-world challenges and opportunities
• multiple entry points to unit planning—whether starting from content, concept(s), or context(s) to build units that are responsive to student interests and global issues
• beta content that encourages risk-taking, experimentation, and reflection, leading to shared new understandings and innovative approaches to authentic learning.

Please note: These workshops will not provide training on the trial assessment models.
