About our GA IB Coordinator Lunch & Learn

CASIE's IBC Lunch & Learn is a FREE monthly get-together designed specifically for our local GA IB coordinators and administrators. Join us for networking, support, and learning about how to lead your school's International Baccalaureate Programme.

GA IBC Lunch & Learn meets from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm US Eastern Time. The meetings are usually held on the second Thursday of each month during the school year (This is a change from our previous meeting day!).

The hour-and-a-half-long meeting is a time for coordinators and administrators from Georgia's many PYP, MYP, DP, and CP programmes to share ideas and concerns, learn from veteran coordinators, discover new resources, and establish valuable contacts. These connections with other coordinators form a support system that helps strengthen all of the IB programs in the state.

We invite you to come meet other outstanding educators who are part of the Georgia IB family!

An RSVP email with details is sent out in advance of each Lunch & Learn to those on our email list, so sign up now!

CASIE's GA IB Coordinator Lunch & Learn network is convened by our Director of Education, Jill Sims.

You asked for it and we delivered!

We hosted three in-person one-day programme retreats at our offices in August and they were fantastic opportunities for collaboration across schools. We loved seeing IBCs from the same programme working together, planning together, and learning from each other.  These are free, high-quality PD days for you as an IB Coordinator. We will provide lunch and beverages, you provide the knowledge and collaborative spirit!

Your next chance for FREE, high-quality IB Coordinator PD is . . .

If you are a brand-new coordinator and don't know where to start, we have prepared a ONE-DAY IB COORDINATOR 101 BOOTCAMP for you. Join CASIE Director of Education Jill Sims as she shares her many years of wisdom and all of her best tips and tricks to get you rocking in your new assignment!

We are pleased to offer new IB coordinators an opportunity to work collaboratively to examine the role of the IB coordinator through the lenses of the  IB Philosophy, IB coordinators' resources, and the Programme Standards and Practices in order to designate priority areas based on your own school context.  The determined priorities will be used to begin planning for developing your programme(s) in the areas identified, discovering IB documents and resources that will assist in that process along the way.

I.    Avoiding the Toll:  Tools that IB coordinators can use to illuminate the joy of being an IB leader and educator

II.   Understanding the Goal- Building the understanding for all stakeholders and promoting it

III.  Owning the Role- Develop a clear vision for the role and how to use it to achieve the goal(s).

IV.  Priorities in My Knoll- Determining the priority areas and who and what need to be done to achieve the goal(s) in your own context

V.   Planning from the Soul- Tapping into the school's collective purpose to drive successful plan formation and execution using the IB coordinator resource document
